(Open Discussion)

Back to ICCM '96 Program

Richard Chowning led a session collecting resources for collaboration. He began by presenting three books and two online sites, all cited on the ICCM Web page. The online sites have maillists, journals, and links to projects.

Allan Carrington: Is there a biblical worldview on this?

Pete Holzmann: So far I've seen only the negative evaluation and the problems involved.

Richard Chowning: This is something that someone needs to tackle.

Phil Butler: 24 Hours in Cyberspace is an example of collaborative development. http://www.cyber24.com How do we evaluate that? We need to be in there for redemptive purposes.

Greg Slade: Christian Telecommunications Toolkit Home Page http://bible.acu.edu/ctt/ctt-home.htm. In that kit, Appendix C is a Fax/E-Mail Directory.

Campus Crusade has "Leadership View."

Pete Holzmann: mission-www on MAFxc is a discussion among people working on getting mission information on the Web. (subscribe by sending e- mail to hub@xc.org with the message line:
subscribe mission-www

Question: Will GCOWE 97 have a Web site?

Pete: There is no definite plan yet, but we certainly could do it.

Richard Chowning: The ICCM 96 pages are good examples of collaboration currently in operation.

David Housholder: The XC and Brigada conferences are good examples of collaboration; the Brigada-US-Ethnics has since June brought 45+ mission workers and church leaders involved in ethnic ministry into discussion and networking. Out of that project came a collaborative project for Urbana 96 which is being developed through interaction on another XC conference.
