1999 "Technology for Mission" Best Practices Contest
Deadline: Submitted no later than at registration (June 4, 1999)
Required elements:
- Title (approx 60 characters or less)
- Visuals that can be placed/converted for the web, your choice of:
- Pictures (can be scanned)
- Powerpoint
- Other multimedia
- Abstract - 1/2 page (1000 chars or less)
- Presentation
- A person willing to talk about it in more detail w/ interested people
Presentation
- 3 minutes: non-technical picture and description of the mission impact. What does the
public see as a result?
- 10 minutes: behind the scenes technical picture and description. What did we do? How?
What did we learn in the process?
- 2 minutes: Brief Q&A -- use offline time for extensive stuff
Judging
- A panel of independent judges will review all presentations
- The top entries will present to the entire ICCM group
- Scoring is based on four factors, on an absolute scale of 1-10:
- Impact - what is the actual/potential kingdom impact?
- Quality - technical quality, usability, etc.
- Cooperation - how well does it utilize and/or encourage cooperation in the Body?
- Reusability - to what extent can other ministries replicate / make use of this idea?
The top finishers will receive prizes...
- 1998 prizes were Logos Research Systems bible software:
- 1st prize - Logos Scholars Library ($600 value)
- 2nd prize - Logos Deluxe Collection ($300)
- 3rd prize - Logos Intermediate Collection ($200)
- 4th prize - Logos Standard Collection ($130)
- 5-10th - Logos Personal Bible Study Collection ($50)
